This section provides information for professionals whose practice also works to support the mental health of people with intellectual disability. This includes:

• professionals who support the physical health of people with intellectual disability
• disability service professionals who support all aspects of a person with intellectual disability’s life and
• social service professionals such as those who provide housing and employment services.

It provides an overview of mental health care pathways for people with intellectual disability, and tailored ways that each professional role can support a person with intellectual disability across a care pathway.
