How to advocate

To advocate is when you or someone else says or does things so that your rights and needs are met.

Rights are rules about how everybody should be treated fairly. A right is something everyone has.

Sometimes it can be hard to find the right support for your mental health. Sometimes you may not be able to get the support you need, or things may go wrong.

If this happens, you may need to advocate to get support for your mental health. Advocacy is having your voice heard so your rights and needs are met.
